One of the key strengths of LF's Tungsten Fabric is its wide range of integrations and deployment scenarios. As a proven network backend for OpenStack, it powers some of the largest NFV clouds. Now, because it can support integration with Kubernetes as a CNI plugin, it is able to seamlessly incorporate Cloud Native Network Functions into existing environments. In this talk, speakers will focus on combining hardware-virtualized and containerized services, show the TF capabilities of container networking, mixed service chaining between OpenStack instances and K8s pods, and how this can be used to bring the incorporation of CNFs closer to reality - first in your lab and later in larger setups. The benefits of this approach include earlier/easier evaluation of new services and a broader set of services possible to deploy in your existing environment.
